Generous Support
On behalf of everyone at Tenterden Wildlife, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to the former Mayor of Tenterden, Cllr Sue Ferguson and St Michaels’ Community Group for the generous donation and continued support. Your kindness and commitment to our local environment mean so much to us and make a real difference in our efforts to protect and enhance the natural habitats in and around Tenterden. This support helps us to carry out vital conservation work, engage the community, and inspire a love for wildlife in people of all ages. Thank you for standing with us in our mission to safeguard the beauty and biodiversity of our local area.

Supporting Swifts
Swifts are such highly iconic bird in the UK, although their numbers are in sharp decline due to reduced food availability and fewer nesting places.
Homewood School students and teachers have been doing their bit to support local swifts by creating their own swift nesting boxes.
Tenterden Wildlife have donated towards the costs of the materials, and we'll be installing them soon.
Watch this space for photos of the boxes in situ and hopefully some occupants soon!

Green Corridor
A vital green corridor runs between Tenterden and Bodiam along the Kent & East Sussex Railway line. We have been working with K&ESR to help enhance and preserve its important wildlife.
Find out more about the Green Corridor conservation work in an article by Keith Barron here.

Wildflower Sowing
The team have been busy at Tenterden Golf Course sowing wildflower seeds.
The wildflowers will not only look beautiful come spring and summer, but critically, they will provide vital food for local pollinator populations.
If you’d like to volunteer for our next planting day then get in touch! We’d love to hear from you.
If you have time for nature, join us.
We need brilliant volunteers like you to help support local wildlife projects. Get in touch today to find out more about the difference you could make.
Make a difference today.
